LINGUAVIVA COLLECTIVE
Custom, research-based language learning

Most language learning still relies on outdated methods: memorizing vocabulary lists, drilling grammar rules, and hoping learners will figure out how to apply it later.
We work differently.
Linguaviva is a collective of language learners, researchers, and teachers working to strengthening connection through bilingual communication. Our approach is grounded in Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), a research-backed method that moves beyond isolated grammar and into the real interactions that shape work and care: talking with friends, meetings, client conversations, classroom moments, and everyday human exchanges.
We teach through online classes, organizational programs, and in-person retreats — all designed to help people communicate with clarity, confidence, and empathy. Because language learning is not just about accuracy. It’s about connection, belonging, and the way we show up for one another across languages.
The result is practical, meaningful progress and more confident speakers in every setting.
*Research by Van den Branden (2006) and Ellis (2003) shows that language learners develop fluency more quickly when focused on task completion rather than isolated drills.
“The course helped my colleagues and I build confidence in our ability to communicate with our Spanish-speaking clients... we were able to get the essential information we needed and refer him to the right service."

“I most enjoyed the varied, yet consistent use of exercises that challenged me to respond to the Spanish language in more of a natural manner.”
