Each morning, you’ll gather in a supportive small group to learn Spanish through heartfelt conversation, laughter, and cultural connection. Guided by our experienced instructors, you’ll build real confidence, not just in words, but in the art of truly communicating.

Afternoons unfold into adventure: wandering colorful markets, sipping coffee in tucked-away cafés, and discovering Colombia’s spirit through curated excursions, cooking classes, and encounters with local artisans. Midway through, the pace softens as we retreat into nature surrounded by fruit trees, mountain air, and lavender landscapes.

Meet your hosts

I’m an American from Tennessee who fell in love with a Colombian who later became my wonderful husband. I began teaching in Bogota in 2016 and was so inspired by the magic and warmth of Colombia. Nestled high in the Andes and surrounded by vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and a lively cityscape, Bogotá holds a unique kind of beauty. The culture is unparalleled- the people are so warm and welcoming, the food comes fresh from local campesinos (farmers) and art permeates everything.

My family and I recently moved back to Bogota because we truly missed the energy, culture, and people here. After hosting many friends and family on trips and showing them the wonders of this country, I'm so excited to invite more like-minded women along with us as we experience the best this country has to offer. I can’t wait to share the art, beauty, and everyday joy of Colombian life with you — and to explore it all together! 🥰

I’m so excited to travel with you all on this Spanish immersion retreat. Colombia is one of the most vibrant and unique places I’ve ever visited. When I went to see Lindy there, I realized how different the experience is when you have a local guiding you—someone who can help you see both the pulse of Bogotá’s city life and the calm beauty of nature just beyond it. This trip offers that perfect balance: rich culture, local connection, and authentic daily life.

As a professor with a PhD in Applied Linguistics, I’ve seen how language learning transforms when it’s rooted in real conversation and meaningful context. My role on the retreat is to design and guide our language sessions so you can learn Spanish in ways that are simple, practical, and empowering. We’ll practice language you can immediately use—ordering coffee, chatting with locals, exploring art and food together. You’ll not only grow in confidence but also stay connected with native speakers and experiences long after the trip ends.

The early bird price is for $3,695 for a shared room (available for the first 4 attendees), afterwards the price becomes $3,895. Private rooms are available for an additional fee.

What's it like to travel with us?

Our trip is a curated retreat with a small group (max 10 women) in order to give you an intimate and relaxed experience. You can expect meaningful experiences, culturally authentic tours, and a like-minded group of women to share it all with.

How do I book?

Just fill out the interest form and Lindy will contact you to schedule a video call and answer any of your questions. Before booking, we'll ensure that this is the right trip for you and that you'll have a great experience. With your deposit (25% of the trip cost) your spot is reserved!

Who is this retreat for—what is the typical age range, background, Spanish level?

This retreat is for women who want to learn or improve their Spanish for personal or professional growth — while also taking time for self-care and adventure. Most women will be in their 30s or 40s, but all ages are welcome! No previous Spanish experience is required, though those with some background will also benefit. It’s a good fit if you enjoy exploring on foot, are comfortable with a moderate level of activity, and can go with the flow when travel brings the occasional hiccup (like Bogotá traffic or a change in plans).

What kind of food will be served (any special dietary accommodations)?

Breakfasts will include American and Colombian staples like eggs, bread/arepas, coffee/tea, juice and local fruits. For lunch and dinner, restaurants there offer a variety of options and most will have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. If you have a allergy or dietary restriction please let us know in advance so we can be sure to make accommodations and ensure you enjoy your meals safely.

What about safety?

We understand that when traveling to a new country, safety is a big concern. We have carefully curated our trip so that we will be in safer areas of the city, but like everywhere, being aware of your surroundings, using common sense and not leaving your belongings unattended is important.

What if I need to cancel?

We understand that life happens. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility while also taking into account the logistics of group travel.

Spot confirmed (deposit paid) with 100 or more days before the trip- partially refundable +credit towards a future trip. You'll receive a future credit for the amount of your deposit (minus a $100 cancellation fee per traveler)

Spot confirmed with 99 days or fewer before your trip - nonrefundable. By this point, all payments are non-refundable because your accommodations and experiences have already been reserved and finalized.

Will I have free time?

Yes! While every day is filled with tours and experiences, we've included downtime everyday to choose what you'd like to do, whether that's wandering, relaxing or checking out a must see spot.
